Damit er\u00f6ffnen sich neue therapeutische M\u00f6glichkeiten zur Behandlung von neuro-psychiatrischen St\u00f6rungen (Depression, Parkinson, Zwangsst\u00f6rungen)!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neuro-psychiatrische St\u00f6rungen wie Sucht, Depression, Parkinson und Zwangsst\u00f6rungen (OCD) betreffen Millionen von Menschen auf der ganzen Welt. Diese Zust\u00e4nde sind komplex und schwer zu behandeln, da sie mehrere Regionen und Schaltkreise des Gehirns betreffen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bisher erforderte das Anvisieren dieser tief liegenden Bereiche invasive chirurgische Eingriffe. Forscher der EPFL unter der Leitung von <a href=\"https:\/\/people.epfl.ch\/friedhelm.hummel?lang=en\"><strong>Friedhelm Hummel <\/strong><\/a><strong>und <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/people.epfl.ch\/pierre.vassiliadis\"><strong>Pierre Vassiliadis<\/strong><\/a><strong> haben erfolgreich einen nichtinvasiven Ansatz mit Hilfe der elektrischen Stimulation durch transkranielle zeitliche Interferenz (tTIS) getestet und damit die Behandlung dieser Erkrankungen revolutioniert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die Technologie der tTIS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Die tTIS-Hirnstimulation verwendet zwei Elektrodenpaare, die an der Kopfhaut befestigt sind und elektrische Felder erzeugen, die sich in den Zielregionen des Gehirns kreuzen. Diese Technik beruht auf zeitlicher Interferenz: Ein Elektrodenpaar sendet Signale mit 2000 Hz und das andere mit 2080 Hz aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Frequenzunterschied von 80 Hz wird zur effektiven Stimulationsfrequenz in der Zielregion, hier dem Striatum, ohne das dazwischen liegende Gewebe zu beeintr\u00e4chtigen. <strong>Die Forscher fanden heraus, dass diese Stimulation die normale Funktion des Striatums st\u00f6ren und die Lernprozesse durch Verst\u00e4rkung direkt beeinflussen kann.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vielversprechende Ergebnisse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie, die in <em>Nature Human Behaviour<\/em> ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurden, zeigen ein immenses therapeutisches Potenzial f\u00fcr Krankheiten wie Sucht, Apathie und Depression. Durch die St\u00f6rung der Belohnungsmechanismen im Striatum k\u00f6nnte diese Methode das pathologische Verhalten, das mit diesen St\u00f6rungen verbunden ist, reduzieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus weist dieser nicht-invasive Ansatz nur minimale Nebenwirkungen auf, was die tTIS besonders vertr\u00e4glich macht.
